Almost there!

As you know, I've been on a journey in the World of Cardigan.

I started off in Sleeveland:
Then the miles of Backville:
And the twin villages of East and West Frontdale:
Now I have to make my way through Seaming Heights. My least favourite part of this adventure. But to top it off, I'll take a quick jaunt to Collar Ridge.

I've quite enjoyed this journey actually. It hasn't taken me as long as I thought it might, thanks to the worsted weight yarn and simple stocking stitch pattern with minimal shaping! A lot of people get bored with stocking stitch but I'm loving it right now. It is exactly the sort of knitting I can manage!

You really have been around haven't you?! Seriously, you have done so well with this, and its going to be just gorgeous. Lucky husby, shame he can't do the seams tho...

and you know the best thing? Winter isn't over yet so he's going to get at least some wear out of it before the days warm up again! yay!

I'm still going around and around the alpaca circle on my husband's sweater. If we get some cooler weather, I might just take a trip there this weekend.

I like the simplicity of the design. Simple stitching shows off knitting just as well (and sometimes better) than complicated stitches and patterns.

Wow that's such a huge geographical effort!!! I hate the seaming, but once I start, I realise I'm on the road to home, and it's not so bad!!

Yup, stockinette was about all I could manage with a new baby, when I even got a chance to knit (not often!!). And if I fell asleep in the middle of a row, no harm done!

Oh, I can't wait to see! And I really am so impressed you got a whole sweater done with a new baby. Now that's a sign of a dedicated knitter!

I love your blocking system, too. Seams are like taxes. Just knuckle down, buckle down, do it, do it, do it. It's easier than you fear, and will be done sooner than you expected.

Oh, I know what you mean about loving the stocking stitch! And I can't even blame it on the wee puppy - just life! I think that's why it was invented - plus, it looks great!

Looking good! A nice straight forward knit is definitely the requirement for the time being :-)

You are almost there! The blocking looks so nice and seaming will not be a problem. Can't wait to see the cardigan all done.

A long journey, and an interesting tour!

I'm amazed you've had time to knit anything with a newborn in tow, so I'm doubly impressed by the fact you have nearly finished a whole garment ;)

I agree with you about the stocking stitch - sometimes it feels like just the perfect thing to be doing! And I can't believe how much knitting you are managing to get done at the moment!
