It's a red, red world!

As you know, I've been feeling a bit flat lately - my mood was much improved when I saw a package in my in-tray at work yesterday - what could it be? Did I secretly submit that shopping cart order for Socks that Rock or Ruby Slippers cashmere laceweight that I was dreaming about last week?
No - even better - I am the lucky recipient of Gift Therapy! And clearly from someone who knows me well!
Ooooooh, what's inside?
Yippee!! KokoBlack hazelnut chocolate, rose tea (in a red bag) (I had some last night - deeeelicious!), a red crochet bookmark and a Penguin Red Classic, Mansfield Park. Along with one of Jejune's fab-o cards! Who could my lovely giftee be, who else but the lovely thoughtful Bells!
A Red Classic - I love it!!! Read Red, y'all!
And for even more red, check me out knitting on the deck last weekend - what could be better - red lace, red iPod, knitting on the deck in the winter sun.
I've finally got a few repeats done on the centre panel of the Alpine Lace shawl, so I've got something to show off.
I've decided that I'm going to try and do at least 8 rows (which is one centre panel repeat) each week. That means it will only take me another, hmmm, get out pen and paper to calculate, yep got it, 42 weeks to finish this sucker!!!Although I am feeling a lot more comfortable with the pattern - I might even be able to do it while watching tv, that will vastly increase my available knitting time on this baby!

I did set out to get as much red in the package as I could but the red Austen was completely accidental and I didn't even pick that up until you did!

I'm glad it made you happy. You deserve it.

That lace is looking soooo good!

We need to build a deck and my main reason for being motivated to get it done is for better outdoor knitting!

Oh, that shawl is gorgeous! Only 42 weeks, that's not long; I'll be finished with my stole around the same time, heh.

Nice package you got!

Ok, I am flummoxed that you are knitting outside in winter in just a cardigan. I cannot do that on a typical February day here, even assuming I feel like shoveling the deck first. ;) What gives?!

A lovely present for a well deserving lady and a well deserved rest on the deck for you too.
Love the shawl too.
Have a great weekend too.

Oooh that's some serious Gift Therapy happening there :D Bells is a gem, isn't she? Hope the treats have helped you to feel a bit better (((hugs))).

I just adore that lace, the colours are so appealing, and the pattern is really beautiful. Wish it was warm enough in Canberra to knit outside, but it's still frosty and foggy here.

What a lovely parcel! I love your lace. I must clear a way to our decking so that I can sit on it, everything is a mess here at the mo!!! Your deck looks neat.

Beautiful shaw. I am admiring everyone's shaws and may try one for myself. I am currently in lust with the Icelandic Lace Shaw on knitting daily's website. I could be persuaded to wear a shaw like that.
