Good things

I've got a good feeling about 2008. I don't know why, but I think it is going to be a good year.

Perhaps it is because this is how husby and I started the new year (or saw the old one out):
And then the next day, husby did this for me:(in case of doubt, he put up the clothesline for me. He's only been promising to do this for oh, at least the last 6 months!) Of course, now it means I have no excuse not to do loads and loads of washing. But at least I don't have to use the dryer all the time now. Mmmm, line-dried sheets! Yum!
(gratuitous butt shot, because I know how you all love them!! Heh!) (funnier still, husby deliberately posed for this. He's the one that really loves the adulation!!)

And, because good things come in 3s, yesterday I cast on a new pair of socks, using this:
More on the socks later! 2008 - will be great! Yeah!

(excuse the cheerleaderishness. Must be because I'm on holidays!!)

Oh I am so going to tease him when I see him - posing for butt shots. He he

I do think it's going to be a good year. I can feel it in my waters!

That's oh so pretty knittery yarn. Just gorgeous.

ps I vote we have bubbles when I visit. :-)

You know you're a knitter when you look at the pictures and notice the yarn before the butt shot! :)

Happy New Year! I hope you're right about 2008 - but not sure laundry is really the best way to kick it off. Go do something fun on your time off!

That looks like Moonlight. I made a pair of waving laces socks with some that Olivia sent me. They are the warmest, softest socks I have. Although, I guess you're not into the warm bit right now.

Nice ar ... sorry yarn!!!! And I do like the dryers you have there, I could always fit so much on mine and the washing would dry in a couple of hours. Not like here, its indoors all over the radiators!

I'm going to go with your optimism and trust your gut. It will be a good year because Rose Red said so, dammit!!!

My other half is rather fond of appearing on the blog for adulation too; bless them!

I think I could do with long service leave just to get my washing done at the moment so I am even more jealous of the washing line than the yarn! How sad my life has become but I too am very excited for 2008.

Dear RoseRed, Happy New Year to you and yours!!! I am going to rely on your feeling of a good year now: it does have an '8' in it and that's usually a good sign for Luck. Nothing better than fresh air and Sun to dry things, lovely wool too. Happy LSL!!!

Give me a 2, give me a . . .

Holidays can make one cheer, that's for sure. Guess how lucky I am? My husband also does all of the washing, brings it in and usually folds it as well! He won't pose for a butt shot though. Sigh.

We also saw the Old and New Year in with Champagne. H also painted the wall near the kitchen so there must have been something in the champagne that caused loads of activity.

Nothing better then the smell of line dried washing...Big cheer for your H.

Gave you so gave us a Yeah!
