SHOESday: sandals for summer #2
If I were only allowed to take one pair of shoes to a beach holiday (I know, I know, it's simply not possible for me to take one pair of shoes on any holiday, even an overnight trip, but let's just pretend for the sake of this post, ok!) these are the ones I would take:Simple, cool, comfortable, go with everything, can be worn to the beach with a t-shirt and sarong and then out to dinner with cool floaty dress.I wasn't a fan of sandals like this when they first (re)appeared a few years ago, but they quickly grew on me. I think they are a more stylish option than regular thongs (oh, ok, flip flops to non-Aussies!), but equally as cool to wear.

Pretty pretty! - Glad you had a nice holiday! (How many pairs of shoes did you take?)
oh yes, definitely a better choice than thongs. You make flats as stylish as heels!
Pretty, yes. But I think in a pinch, if I were being chased, I could not just throw them off and run. See, I'm always thinking....
Dude! They totally look like a g-string for your feet!!
Make that jandals to the kiwis out there.
They look great and how versatile to be worn day and night.
Pass on our love to H and his family. Let us know if we can do anything.
They look nice, so did the vacation spot. What a nice thing to do for a rest ... off to talk to husband about getting away!!!
lol, I've learned about thongs from you all! Those sandals are so cute, especially with that pedi color.
As an American, I can proudly say--I call them thongs, too. Flip-flops takes too much time to say or write, and I've called them thongs all my life, so I'm going to keep on doing it.
I love sandals of that type. They're the next best thing to bare feet. I don't go barefoot anymore, too hard on the soles of my feet. I live in flip flops all summer, except at work. They frown on sandals but everyone wears them, even the director.
Pretty, if a little cold for 32 degrees F!
Those are pretty! I love that style, with the "thong." I find they stay on better (even when they don't have backs, I mean).
