SHOESday: an oldie but a goodie

These may just be the oldest pair of shoes that I own and still wear. I can't even remember when I bought them, but I think it must have been around the time I was at uni, or just after...and that's at least, oh, a very long time ago indeed (last century even! OMG!!).And yeah, they look it too. (Although I suspect Converse traditionalists might just say "you've only just worn them in".)Perhaps it is time for a new pair. Because I can't be grown up and still wear Converse All-Stars, can I?

What do you mean - grown up - the great thing about being grown-up is you can wear anything you darn well please!

LOVE them! I used to have yellow and red pairs, and maybe teal? And low ones, too. But they're too flat and they hurt my feet to no end--I have very bad feet, aggravated by running cross country followed by years of waitressing. Sob. They're so cute.

the nice thing about converse is they are always cool.
you are never too old to wear them- they'll give you some serious emo-kid street cred

This reminds me of a guy I used to work with. He had Converse All Stars in every color and matched them up with his polo shirts. Of course, he also sported a mullet, but we don't need to go there... Just goes to prove that depending upon who wears them, they can either be very cool (yours) or very dorky (his).

Except for the flat sole, those are perfect shoes. Cool and functional at the same time. I loved mine until they had holes too big to ignore.

I remember these shoes from your uni days. From Converse to Prada and back again. What do you classify as grown up? I would wear them when I want the child at heart to come out and play.

but of course you can! i wear mine to class and put them up on the chair in front of me, like a very bad teacher, in the vain hope that it gives me some sort of cred. seriously tho, ive had mine for years and there is almost no wear on the sole, they are seriously impressive shoes and i would never be without a pair.
