Pattern: Midwest Moonlight by Ivy Bigelow from Scarf Style. Love this pattern for this yarn, and it's very easy and effective.
Yarn: 5x50g balls of Jo Sharp Alpaca Kid Lustre. I fell in love with this colour when this yarn first came out, even though I don't really wear orange or have much orange stuff. But in the last year or so, orange is a colour I've come to really like, particularly as an accent - it really pops!
Sticks: KnitPicks Options, 4.5mmTime: I had to hunt out my knitting diary from last year to check ... 20 September 2007 - 22 April 2008.
What I learnt: to pick the right yarn for the pattern - I started Backyard Leaves (also from Scarf Style) in this yarn, and it just didn't work, the yarn was too fuzzy and drapey for that kind of pattern, but for this one, it works great!

It's beautiful. I like the color, too. I have commitment issues with scarves. They just seem to go on and on!
Oh it's beautiful. I loved it when I saw it a few weeks ago - I'm so glad you finished it because it's lovely and drapey and perfect. You're right - orange as an accent is just right.
Very lovely - I do like the pattern. Orange is not my colour by any stretch, but as an accent its great. Noice!
Love love love it! I would totally wear this. My birthday is in Septemtember in case you were wondering (joke).
It's a beautiful pattern and looks very 'spruce up a dull Winter' colour without being too orange. If you know what I mean!!!
gorgeous!!!!! I'm not usually a fan of orange either but my MIL gave me a witchery large round scarf in orange and it looks so great with black and jeans!!!! gorgeous...well done and the alpaca kid lustre is so nice to knit with too!
Lovely bright happy make you smile coloured scarf. Noice Noice very Noice
Oh your Midwest Moonlight scarf looks great. Mine is halfway done and has been sitting in basket for a few months now. I really should pull it out and finish it up so I can gift it to someone. Yours looks so nice in that bright orange too.
Pretty pretty! So red and warm and gorgeous!
Thats lovely, the colour is great. :)
It looks lovely - the yarn and the pattern are such a great match, which is surprising, because a lace pattern in orange seems quite a concept!jvwni
Very, very lovely!
i meant to say today that these are really nice photos. Photos of scarves are really hard I think and these are great!
Oh, that looks so soft and pretty. I love the color.
We recently acquired some burn orange chairs for the living room. I wasn't sure about them at first but now I love them. They give the room some color. The scarf is so pretty. And bells is right, it's hard to photograph scarves and you did a good job.
I was actually just wondering if you had finished yours. I love mine and I must say it's probably worn the most of all my scarves. Love you color too!
It's a beauty - love those little lists with their lines through :o)
I'm with you on the orange - I used to hate it, but now I've found I'm using it a lot. Love the scarf! Cool pattern!
The scarf is gorgeous! Orange is a color that intimidates me, so kudos to you for making such good use of it! And I concur with the crowd here, I rather like your scarf pictures. They're fun.
it's bewdifuuulll!
It's so...gorgeous. I have the same yarn & color in my stash & thought that a scarf will be the right project - well, you beat me to it. Well done.
