SHOESday: Trip Trip Trippen Along

We went to Melbourne for the Australia Day long weekend, just gone.  We had a great little apartment in the city (Flinders Lane, for those in the know).  Perfect location.

Especially when I discovered what was just around the corner...Sole Devotion!  I nearly hyperventilated when I saw it.  Especially when I saw the big "SALE" balloons in the window.

And of course I made a purchase!
I was so pleased to find these in this great metallic - not too shiny, goes with everything kinda colour.  I was very tempted by a similar pair with a piece of leather knitted fabric going from the toe strap up to the ankle strap - and they were called "Knit" - but decided that these were more classic.
I am so very pleased with my new shoes!
And apart from a horrible 10 minutes on the plane during takeoff on the way down, during which he screamed and thrashed about, Connor travelled very well.  But for that 10 minutes, I think I deserved a new pair of shoes, heh!

I thought you were going to say "Tessuti Fabrics" to the answer of what was around the corner from your apartment! Beaut shoes - love the inside-out seams!

Great shoes, and even I have owned a pair in that kind of shade area because they DO go with everything. Very nice indeed and you do deserve new shoes. Poor Connor, I hope he is OK now after his trying flight?!!!

What a great style. They'll never look dated. I like the way the heel is done. Good purchase!

It has been so long since a proper shoesday!

Hooray for shoesday! They are lovely, and the matching nail polish makes such a chic look!

Keep an eye on the lad and if he starts rubbing at his ears, get him to the doctor. Sometimes the air-pressure change in the plane can give babies ear-problems.

Lovely shoes & of course you deserve them. I love Melbourne & on my last visit, I stayed in an apartment right next to Myers.

Fabulous shoes, and one of the best colours ever.

What a fab color! And yes, traveling with a little one means you get to treat yourself.

Those are fabulous shoes. There are a lot of ankle straps around here, too -- though, boots rule at this time of the year!

My heart goes out to Connor. I had terrible ear pain when flying as a child. Very painful!

I meant to comment on Saturday when you had these on how lovely and comfortable they looked. Had no idea they were a recent find!

I'm a little late to the comment section. I was just surfing around tonight looking for posts about Trippen because I love those shoes beyond measure! I noticed someone above wanted to see the knit sandals you mentioned, and I think these ones at Ped Shoes are the style you're talking about. Alas, only Size 35 left (though WAY on sale). It is a funky and fun looking sandal!
