SHOESday: New Year, New Shoes

Well, it's a new year, so must be the right time for new shoes (or, I liked them so much, I bought them again, part ...hmmm, what am I up to with this, part 3?!)As regulars will know, I bought these shoes in New York in January last year (how odd to be writing that!). I saw them in green in David Jones in about August or September and have been stalking them ever since, just waiting for them to go on sale so I could snap them up - which of course they did, just before Christmas. Squeeeeeeeeeee! It's an unusual colour, this shade of green, but I love the red shoes so much, and wear them so often, and I have so many black clothes (as well as jeans of course) so I figure I'll definitely get a lot of wear out of these as well. And I do like a coloured shoe. So many people opt for sensible shoes in black or other neutrals, and they serve their purpose (I've got them too!) but I do like to wear colour on my feet - it's a little bit quirky, a little bit different, and a lot of fun!

I'm with you on the colour thing. Between my purple shoes and watching your vast collection, I've decided the perking up a pair of colourful shoes can give is unsurpassable...well, almost.

Gorgeous. I love them. They look so soft! The idea of stalking shoes just kills me.

I've stalked shoes before. Sometimes you just know you'll get them discounted.

They look great on you. I like how they show just a hint of "toe cleavage." You can always find something to go with a shoe you love!

Am so excited that your parcel made it on Christmas Eve! The post service really came good there as I only posted it on the 17th! Hurrah, am pleased you like it - it's lovely to see the pic from your end.

Your Christmas feast looked fantastic; big congrats on pulling that off with a cold.

Great green shoes in this post; such patience to stalk them until they went in the sale.

As for six weeks leave - I am too jealous for words, back to work for me tomorrow.

Green is not usually my color but that green would look great with black pants, or of course, jeans. I am one of those folks who lean toward black and brown shoes. I think I will look around and start adding some color to my shoe-drobe.

Oh so beautiful - the construction reminds me of my ballet pointe shoes - and I love the green (my newest orange and fraternal aqua shoes? They're getting more colour in at the end of this month or beginning of next - I keep popping in just to check!)
Happy Happy 2008 shoe twin!
